America isn’t white and nor were Greek statues...

…so how did Washington DC whitewash history?

The US capitol/capital buildings are a stark white and seem to be the product of an architecture culture that assumed the originals in Greece and Rome were “all white.” The White House, Lincoln Memorial, Jefferson Memorial, Washington Monument, and US Capitol building are all-white monochromatic anomalies in a fully colored world. Color-faded Greek and Roman statues brought the impression of a world of white marble and limestone, but we asked to little of these statues.

The word “white” as part of “white race” evolved within systems of domination that sprouted within the world of ‘modern’ colonization and modern slavery. ‘White’ was a tool used to accomplish many imbalances in society that advantaged certain groups. The protests over “Black Lives Matter” was by a group that considered their advantage(s) as a ‘level’ world. Any attempt to make things ‘equal’ — and especially to use ‘equity’ to restore a nature equality in the face of past discrimination, segregation, and oppression — is seen as an injustice to those who are use to a natural advantage. It took democracies a while to eliminate ‘petty nobility’ of the appointed landed elites. Majorities and ‘power minorities’ rarely ever ‘share’ toward a wider equality. They complain louder about their fairness of their better opportunities than those who complain that they aren’t offered the same. “White” is a blight in the history of humanity.

Even now, we must free ourselves from the ‘machines’ — institutional and artificial — that we have loosed “to bind us to backward discrimination.”
