Quick Guide to Ruining Education

Enlightening article on the current state/crisis in education

Whereas, Jack Welch said corporate bliss came from firing the bottom 10% each year. He spent his career building the architecture for the destruction of GE.

Whereas, George W. Bush spent his time ignoring international terrorist threats so he could plan an invasion of Iraq and to 'nationalize' Texas' failing testing system across the 50 states ...and push for Welch's systematic firing system.

Whereas, IN Governor Eric Holcomb wasted time studying the problem of teacher recruitment only to find that Indiana's pay was miserably low and dropping, because that is how Mitch Daniels wanted it.  Holcomb passed big raises, that eventually did not keep up with inflation -- thus teachers are in an effectual earning deficit. Then, he allowed the legislature to give future spending increases to rich families already in private schools.

Be it resolved, that over half the US states are in a teacher-pay panic and engaged in a massive spending spree to compete against each other for a 'smaller and smaller' and less-trained pool of teachers, while Indiana will spend the next two years sitting on a giant pile of cash AND enact severe 'inflationary' school-funding/teacher-pay cuts; thus, decimating already gutted rural schools and creating an even greater wasteland of education deserts.
